Applications
This material is a kind of nonionic surfactant, served as antistatic agent in the production of polyethylene, polypropylene and ABS. During propylene polymerization, addition of JM 163 can reduce the activity of polymer particle to prevent the particle sticking on the wall of reactors and equipment. It should be charged into the system during the units are running on and off for preventing block at the outlet of flashing vessel.
JM 163's overall properties such as hydrophilism and pour point are much much better. When JM 163 is used in combination with Type N catalyst, there is no polymer particles aggregated. So, JM 163 is preferred by users.
The agent is mainly used as deactive agent of triethyl aluminum in PP’s process such as LyondellBasell’s Spheripol loop reactor. When JM 163 is charged at outlet, the polymer particles’ activity can be eliminated so the particles will not block pipes. The residual triethyl aluminum can be deactivated when JM 163 is used in propylene washing tower and waste oil tank.
